Sherlock Shirley investigates with her dog Dr. Watson, who has a good nose. The water in the neighbourhood disappears inexplicably: The crows complain to Shirley that there are no more cherries growing on the trees, so she can't find anything tasty to eat. The farmers realize that their apple trees are no longer getting enough water and the whole harvest is at risk! The water snake considers its habitat too dry, which is not good for its skin.
Sherlock Shirley and her clever dog Dr. Watson follow various clues - and finally find out, together with the children watching, why the water in the region is disappearing... Together with the children, they look for solutions and the kids themselves become environmental detectives.
